Apple Store In Singapore Floats On Water, Glows Like A Lantern At Night
The COVID-19 pandemic has done some irreversible damage to people's lives. It has also severely affected businesses around the world. But it looks like Apple is completely unaffected as reports surface that it plans to open a new Apple Store in Singapore.
The Apple Store is completely state of the art that looks like a big round ball. This is also the first Apple store in the world that’s floating above the water. The store has been officially named Apple Marina Bay Sands -- part of the popular Marina Bay Sands resort.?
Reported first by Macrumors, the floating structure was actually occupied by a nightclub dubbed Avalon, which was part of the luxury resort on the Singaporean bay.?
Apple’s web page for the retail store says, “We will soon open the doors to our new store by the Bay. Apple Marina Bay Sands will be at the heart of creativity, a place we’ve made for you to capture your ideas and passions. It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new. We can't wait to see where your imagination takes you.”
This store has also used a red Apple logo at the front, as opposed to the white that we have commonly seen. The logo shows the minimal depiction of the apple being submerged in the sea with the lines signifying waves.?
During the daytime, this store looks like an odd space capsule Goku or Vegeta might travel in. However, as the sun goes down, the whole glass globe starts to glow with colourful LEDs that look truly mesmerizing. There are no images of the interiors of the store yet.
This is also Apple’s third store in the South-East Asian nation of Singapore. Apple has one store that it recently opened at Orchard Road in the year 2017 as well as the Apple Jewel that was set up in the popular Changi Airport.
