#FitIt Challenge: 5 Reasons Why FitBit Is More Than Just A Fitness Band On My Wrist

I am not one of those who're smitten by the glory of technology. I maintain a love-hate relationship with it, and I only use it when it pleases me.

When I first started using Fitbit a month ago, I had little faith in it. I never thought I would resonate with a wristband, and certainly didn't think that it would help me in losing weight.

Fitbit is way different, better, and more accurate than other bands that are there in the market and here's why I will never stop using it:

# It helped me in losing weight

As I have mentioned earlier, I can't even remember how many times I tookup a weight-loss challenge, only to fail miserably. However, with Fitbit, I succeeded quite brilliantly. I have lost 4 kgs in a month, and still am on the mission till I reach my goal.

#It pitched accurate insights of my workout

I never really thought about my activity levels during the day. Like most people, I used to believe that the only time you really needed to be active was during a workout. A recent evaluation, though, has made me realise the importance of measuring my activity levels during the day. Not only do these numbers keep you motivated to move around more, but they also give you a measure of how inactive you really are during the day.

I figured that my stats, including active minutes, calories burnt, steps taken, stairs climbed, and even my sleeping patterns were all abysmal before training with the Fitbit on my wrist. I've been trying to up these numbers ever since and my Fitbit has been a real boon in this endevour. 


# It improved my calorie- intake and calorie- burn ratio 

With Fitbit, I knew exactly how many calories I was ingesting and how many calories I was burning. Thus, it became easier to understand the amount that I had eaten and the amount  I needed to burn. The ratio of how much to eat vs. how much to burn became clear as time went by which is why my weight-loss journey eased out in the end.

# It assisted me during my training 

As it's extremely imperative to stretch before and post running and the Fitbit simplified this process as well. The Fitstar app is a real blessing for those who want to experiment with their stretching routine. 


I have been using the Fitstar app, and it saved all the time that I used to spend thinking about my routine stretching before and after my run. Plus, it burns a substantial amount of calories.

# It's the best motivator 

With hourly, daily, and weekly insights, Fitbit is the ultimate fitness pundit. The activity tracker briefed me about my heart rate, steps taken, calories burnt, the number of flights of stairs that I climbed, etc. The numbers and statics are just perfect for someone who are looking for precise information. 


A bit of advice

Behind all the tiny gains in this world is solid hard work. The plan you choose for yourself should be extremely articulate and coherent, in terms of your capability. 

Over the years, I have tried losing weight multiple times, but it's surprising how this is the only time I have been successful in doing so. I guess it is because I have not only been consistent with my runs, but also with my workout, the food I eat, the time I eat it and everything else in between.
